Some say that volunteer clinics act only as a "bandaid" on the serious wound of inadequate health care.  We believe that our efforts make a difference but the entire community helps us do the job.  Many ask how Gennesaret Free Clinic operates on a financial basis.  Gennesaret Free Clinic depends upon the generosity of the best health professionals in Indianapolis to serve the poor. 

But the facilities, medications, medical and dental supplies, administrative personnel and overhead still generate substantial expenses. 

GFC also depends on its network of committed and generous individual donors from across Indiana.  Thousand of individuals contribute to GFC, many in time and financial donations.  Notably, GFC is proud of the strong financial support from the physicians of the Indianapolis area.  Numerous local corporations support GFC including Clarian Health Partners, St Vincent Hospital, St Francis Hospital, and Health and Hospital Corporation. For the past decade, Carpenter Realtors has underwritten GFC through fund raising activities including the Carpenter -GFC Golf Classic, the Carpenter - GFC Canal walk and other events.  Several foundations very generously support GFC including the Ober Foundation, the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust, the Nicholas H. Noyes Jr., Memorial Foundation, the Stephen H. Simon Foundation, the Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation, Susan G. Komen for the Cure Breast Cancer Foundation and the Central Indiana Community Foundation.  We are so proud that numerous area churches contribute to our mission.  Limited governmental funds have come to GFC in the past.
