Erin Smith is a faculty member at the Indiana University School of Nursing. While at IU, Erin has assisted with qualitative research articles, and also had the honor of being the IU School of Nursing Legislative Fellow for the 2021 Indiana General Assembly.
Erin is also member of the St. Margaret’s Hospital Guild where she leads the communications team in helping raise funds for Eskenazi Health via the annual Decorators’ Show House & Gardens tour.
Throughout her career, Erin has honed her skills in nursing at Community Health, and ultimately moving into specialty care for over 6 years at the Indiana Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center as an infusion nurse and educator. Erin used those skills to take a role at VMS BioMarketing for over 3 years, where she was a national Nurse Advocate and Clinical Educator assisting with pharmaceutical companies including Baxter, Baxalta, Shire, and Takeda.
Erin has spent many weekends working on the Gennesaret Mobile Health unit with Dr. Trippi in service to our community members in need. This work has inspired Erin to take a deeper role as a Board Member at Gennesaret Free Clinics in coming years.
When she isn’t serving her community, Erin enjoys working on home projects, trying new local restaurants, and spending time with her son and husband, Emerson and Ty.
