James Wahls brings over 20 years of experience serving patients across the continuum of care. He has a deep understanding of patient needs and a passion for building innovative systems and teams that enhance healthcare delivery. From psychiatric social work in Chicago to operations in acute care at Wishard Hospital (now Eskenazi Health) and wound care at Kindred Hospitals, James brings a passion for building systems and teams that enable providers to deliver excellence in patient care.

 

James has a passion for building—whether it’s innovative systems, effective teams, or finely crafted tools. With extensive experience across diverse healthcare settings, he has developed a deep understanding of the challenges in delivering excellent patient care. This has fueled his commitment to equipping providers and caregivers with the tools and resources they need to succeed.

 

In addition to his work in healthcare, James is a Master Blacksmith and the founder of Indy Hammered Knives, a company he built from the ground up. Known for creating world-class knives and purposeful tools, James has expanded his business to include a school where he has taught the art of Old-World Craftsmanship to over 1,000 students from across the country. His handcrafted products are shipped worldwide, reflecting his dedication to quality, tradition, and innovation.
