Biography

Melissa was born in Princeton, Indiana, but grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is a graduate of Pike High School. She graduated with a BS in Elementary Education from Indiana University Bloomington. After graduation, she moved to Davenport, Florida, and taught in a Title I elementary school for 10 years. During that time, she earned a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Stetson University. She moved back to Bloomington, Indiana, and taught in a Title I school there for four more years before making the transition to Human Resources. She earned her PHR from HRCI and plans to pursue more certifications in the upcoming years.

Melissa has five children, two biological and three bonus, and a grandson who are the joys of her life and keep her busy when not working. She loves to read and visit wineries throughout the state.

Gennesaret captured her heart with their mission. After teaching in Title I schools for so many years, she saw the need for free medical, respite, and dental care. For Melissa, it is an honor to take care of the staff that takes care of our patients!
